Back in 2017 I was just like you. Working in a role to support students and having plans to provide a program that does so, yet every 5 minutes there was a child screaming in the hallway or a call over the walkie and it put a halt on everything.
I realized that stopping to respond to each individual child kept myself and my team in a never-ending loop. We needed to develop a foundation of supports at Tier 1 so that we were developing more positive behaviors throughout the year and had less students with needs at Tier 2 and 3.
